Rather in a media query from this correspondent, its Deputy Commissioner Public Information spokesperson Sergeant Jessica McRorie said, “On Tuesday July 14, 2020, at approximately 1535 hours, police responded to a 911 call of a past assault at 265 East Houston Street, in the 7 Precinct. Upon arrival, responding officers encountered an unconscious and unresponsive male inside of an apartment. EMS also responded to the scene and pronounced him deceased. The Medical Examiner has deemed this a homicide. The deceased has been identified as: Saleh, Fahim; 33-year-old male, 265 East Houston Street, Manhattan, NY.”

Earlier, media reports say, a man dressed in all black, who according to police is suspected to be Saleh’s assailant is seen in the video entering the elevator with him. Saleh’s family urged the NYPD and other members of law enforcement, “to work diligently to get to the bottom of this horrific crime and bring justice for Fahim.”
